Postcards from Real Life: Delight

My time in Great Smoky Mountains National Park has been sparing of late but today, in spite of the current downpour, I’m glad to be back. This weekend I’m joining my fellow photography enthusiasts for the Tremont Spring photography workshop and I’m very grateful to the people who had the foresight to preserve this place and to those who continue to oversee it’s well-being.

The interminable forests should become graceful parks, for use and delight. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

From the towering spruces to the delicate trillium, delight is everywhere in the Smokies… even in the rain.

    1. Thanks Ken. I’ll be back up for birds… certainly can’t miss saying good-bye before you head off to Yellowstone. 🙁
