Camp Granola’s George turned 11 yesterday and I have to marvel at this journey.
I’ve often said there’s no status quo with kids. Each stage brings its delights and challenges, none better or worse, just different. Certainly we adults have our stages and changes, but kids go through them at break-neck speed. Just when you relax a little and you think you’ve got this parenting thing sort of figured out, they throw you for a loop. As a result, I’ve learned it’s best not to try to plan too far ahead but to give them, and myself, room to move with what life and each stage brings.
So I leave you with this…
The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. ~ Alan Watts
